Unused address types can be deactivated if you don't need them anymore. Deactivated address types can be reactivated later if you need them again in the future. To deactivate address types:
Go to the System Address Types configuration page. The page consists of three tabs using which you can select whether you want to manage address types for Company, Site or Contact Types. The page displays the options for the Company tab by default.
Click on the tab under which the address type you deactivate is stored.
Select the address type you want to deactivate from the Types listbox. Once you do this, the page refreshes and the details of the selected address type are displayed in the respective fields.
Go to the Inactive checkbox and select it.
Click the Save button. The selected address type will be deactivated and will not be available under the selected entity unless it is reactivated again.
