From the menu bar click the Search drop down menu. Now browse down to the Assets option and click on it.
This takes you to the Asset Search page. The fields displayed on the Assets Search page are the same as the ones displayed on the asset creation page. Only difference is that whatever information you enter here will be used as search criteria to find assets with matching information. You can enter as much or as little information as you wish.
Once you enter the information to be used as search criteria. click on the Search button at the bottom of the page to the right. All assets matching the search criteria will be displayed. Click on an Asset's name to go to the Asset Information page for that asset.
Click on the 
just above the list
of matching assets on the left side to the search results to MS Excel.
